This pressure pump for diaphragm carburettors is an indispensable tool for the maintenance and diagnosis of diaphragm carburettors. Equipped with a precise scale graduation in bar, it covers a pressure range from 0 to 1.5 bar, whereby the fine graduation in 0.01 increments enables precise measurement results. 

This pump can be used to test the function of the diaphragm in the carburettor. To do this, the pump hose is attached to the fuel hose connection on the carburettor. By generating a vacuum, it is possible to check whether the diaphragm is intact. If the generated vacuum remains stable and does not drop, the diaphragm is working properly. If, on the other hand, the pressure drops, this indicates a defect in the diaphragm, which may require the entire component to be replaced.

The specification, which negative pressure the diaphragm must withstand or which tolerances are acceptable for the loss of negative pressure, can be found in the product information of the respective carburettor manufacturer.
