Die für den aktiven Geräuschfilter verwendete Filterpatrone besteht aus Polyester und kann mit Lösungsmitteln, Benzin und Druckluft gereinigt werden.
Diese Patrone filtert Partikel von mehr als 10µm (10 Tausendstel Millimeter) und wird als bester Kompromiss zwischen Luftstrom und Luftreinigung bewertet.
Der Wert von 10µm ermöglicht auch die Filterung von Verunreinigungen aus dem vorderen Bremssystem: er liegt normalerweise zwischen 15µm und 30µm und es ist bekannt, dass diese Verunreinigungen sehr aggressiv gegenüber den Innenteilen des Motors sind.
Die neue Patrone hat eine Lamellenbarriere, um den Luftstrom zu modifizieren und die Turbulenzen im Inneren der Airbox zu reduzieren.
Die neuen Ansaugrohre haben einen besseren Venturi-Effekt mit besserer Leistung.
